The opinion of the court was delivered by ROSEN, J.; Jamaal Summers was charged with first-degree murder. His first jury trial resulted in a mistrial because the jury could not reach a unanimous verdict. At a second trial, the juiy convicted Summers of first-degree murder. The trial court imposed a fife sentence without the possibility of parole for 25 years, and lifetime postrelease supervision.
